People look a lot of places for answers when it comes to questions about their skin; Google, WebMD, “old wives tales”, tarot card readers, you get the point. Holly Hall happens to have a couple of dermatologists on speed dial, so we’ll text them your questions and share with you their responses.
Question: Does putting toothpaste on an acne pimple work?
Dermatologist #1 (My dad): "Yes, a small amount on one pimple can help it to go away but it's not good for a whole face of acne."
Dermatologist #2 (My older brother): "I have no #&$%^*+ clue lol. They don’t teach us that in dermatology school."
Not a unanimous vote, but there may be something to this old trick. Full disclosure, toothpaste didn’t seem to work on a hickey that one time in college, so it’s probably not a cure-all.
